I need help badly. My graphics driver is a mess apparently.

I upgraded to windows 10 however long ago the prompt happened, I want to say mid November of 2015

Whenever I play a game fullscreen, I get the message: "Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered" Error

I googled how to fix this and some video of adjusting the TdrDisplay with regedit came up and many people said this worked. So I did just that. Restarted my computer, ran the application, then got: "application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware"

I try to update my drivers from Intel directly. There's an error installing (i'm sure this further complicates things) because my manufacturer, Dell has its own version.

I got to Dell's site to grab their version, and it does not work. My system "does not meet the minimum requirements". I'm not the most computer savvy, so I don't understand why I would get this. If it's relevant, I'm running an i7 with 16 GB RAM and the onboard graphics cards is Intel HD Graphics 4600.

I see a solution to the constant graphics card crashes by opening up my Intel HD Graphics control panel, which I've done before. Lo and behold, through this process, the control panel DOESN'T open.

I fear I've destroyed my computer somehow through all of this tomfoolery and worst part is I am back where I started with that error popping up every two seconds.

If someone can handhold to help me fix this I would be eternally grateful!

My comp was working great prior to the Windows 10 update. I would like to restore the potential damage I've done, fix the ability to open the HD control panel, and stop the display driver from crashing.
