Dear all, I have a new XPS 13 with win10 home editon. I heard that win10 th2 allows users to make a clean installation with their valid win7/win8 product key. I bought a win8 pro copy 2 years ago and had the product key of it. Today I tried to use the key to install win10 pro on my XPS. I start the installation with a USB disk ,but during the installation, there is not any step to ask me to input the key. When the installation accomplished,I still got a win10 of home version :(
I googled the web and find the reason is that a key of win10 home version is embedded into the BIOS of my XPS. I appreciate if anyone can tell me how to install win10 th2 pro on my XPS with my win8 key ?
P.S: in win7/8 installation, PID.txt and ei.cfg can be used to bypass the BIOS key,but it doesn't work when installing win 10..
