Wow. What a confusing forum..... anyway, just hoping for some info so I'll post my question in "software".
I am a photographer and based on many positive reviews of the XPS 15 for photo editing, I purchased this laptop instead of a Mac for my business, looking forward to utilizing the high res monitor for photo editing. However when I installed Photoshop CS5, the UI was unusable. After a lot of frustration I discovered that the solution is to reduce the resolution on my monitor - which defeats the reason I paid extra for the monitor. So, I understand CS5 is old and Adobe no longer supports it so i would not expect that version to be compatible with new hardware technologies.
Does anyone know if Photoshop CC supports the high res capabilities of the XPS? I do not want to spend the time/money to upgrade if it does not.
I'm also a little confused about all the reviews that say this is a great computer for photo editing if you cannot really use the high res. ??
