I have a Dell Inspiron 15R N5110 purchased in 2012. I found out yesterday it was not tested for Windows 10 - I should have done my research I know - Tiredness took over and Microsoft made it look so easy to update to Windows 10.
Well, I realized I was unable to connect to work from home this way and need to go back - so I went through the process Windows 10 is kind enough to provide for you for 30 days...
Now windows will not start up... the computer powers up, windows try to start and it goes to the page that says Windows could not start normally do you want to start in safe mode with the error that a recent change in hardware or software may have caused the error.
My work IT dept has run a diagnostic check on the computer and at last report it checks out fine - so I don't believe it is hardware.
Has anyone else had issues like this?
I am trying to resolve this without restoring to factory settings.
I was on the phone with Microsoft the other night for over 3 hours - 2:50 hours on hold. The person I spoke with had no clue how to help my situation.
If my only option is to factor restore, please help with any tips on that. I have watched My dell in 99 seconds videos, but anything else you have to share would be great.
Thanks
