DELL INSPIRON 660 ERROR 0X4001100200001005

Hi, any help in resolving an issue I have with my Dell Inspiron 660 would be greatly appreciated. I recently decided to reset my pc to factory settings using the restore/backup cds I made once I got it. I have done this process twice before with no issues. This time however, after switching over to disc #2, and after a few hours of waiting, the restore process is stuck at 32% and I receive the error message "error 0x4001100200001005. If problem persists please contact Dell Support" . After repeating the process about 4 times with the same end result , I took to the Internet to search possible solutions.  My pc has all original factory sent hardware which all pass the Diagnostics test that I ran. After some research I'm convinced that I have a software issue which may be a result of a corrupted/ruined restore cd. I'm curious as to whether anyone has had this similar issue and what they did to fix it. I'm hesitant to order a set of recovery cds if they won't restore my system and Dell won't help unless I enroll in the software warranty program, requiring me to dish out $240 to diagnose and fix the problem. Like I said, I've scowered the net with no success in finding a solid answer as to the error code itself or a guaranteed solution. Any help/suggestions are welcome. Thank you
