I have upgraded to windows 10 and now it has been requested that i provide the original windows 8 product key that was pre installed on the system at purchase after talking with a rep at Microsoft. now after talking with dell customer support and living in Canada i on 2 separate calls i was transferred on average 9 times (pc is out of warranty ) after doing some research and discovering there might be some hope in discovering the key using the BIOS menus again no luck. i dont understand why this is so hard. i remember when the keys came on a sticker on the case. i feel as if i need to just buy i new ver of windows 10 and send the bill to dell for the new OS. the way i see it is i have purchased that pre installed copy of windows 8 that came with the pc i own it so denying me the product key would be some form of fraud or theft right ?
