Windows 10 printer compatibility

Hi can anyone please help. My mother in law has downloaded windows 10 then has had problems with her printer a Dell Photo All-in-One Printer 924, v. G6, A00. She's had an error to do with the print spooler so I've tried removing the printer, adding it as well as . Is it because windows 10 isn't compatible and we need to basically bin the printer, or is there a work around maybe revert back to windows 8 (if she still has this).? Thanks in advance
