When I first started up my new Dell running Windows 10, I created a Microsoft account not realizing that I had other options. Later, I found out you could create a local account which I did. My question: when I created the microsoft account, I used the login name "abcde", but I changed my name to "fghij" when creating the local account. However, all paths still use the microsoft account name: C:\users\abcd\ Also, sometimes the user folder is labeled "abcd" in some windows while other times, it is labeled "fghij". Is there a way to get consistency so that all instances of my user folder is labeled with my local account name rather than the microsoft account name? Or does that mess up things in the registry, program settings, etc?
Thanks.
ps "abcde" and "fghij" aren't really the names I used! :-)
