I'm sorry if this is a much-repeated question, but I successfully installed Windows 10 in September, however there are several...issues.
I access my HP printer over a wireless network. First of all, Windows keeps trying to install/update drivers for the printer, then saying the installation has failed. I have downloaded and updated the drivers from the manufacturer, but no change.
There also seem to be problems communicating with the printer over the network. I attempted to upgrade the drivers via the Dell web-site, as I had read on this and other forums that it might solve the problem. However when I looked up the drivers for my laptop, there was a statement from Dell saying that they would not be upgrading the drivers for my particular model. And therefore there might be problems. I was rather concerned as my laptop isn't that old...
In addition, whenever I try to install any Windows updates, the laptop refuses to restart. It hangs on start up and then has to be restarted using the "off" switch.
I noticed at the start of this forum that Dell have announced that they may upgrade drivers subsequently. There is also a suggestion to download drivers from the manufacturer of the hardware, but when I tried this, the site was fairly hard to navigate.
Please could someone tell me whether there are any workarounds, or whether it is possible to obtain up-to-date drivers from the manufacturer of the wireless...connection?
