I had my new Inspiron 15 5558 delivered on 28/8/15 and set it up today but was unable to set up a USB recovery drive. The three USB devices I tried were working fine with my old laptop and I was able to copy some files from the Dell to each of them but I just get a message saying "We can't create the recovery drive" and "A problem occurred while creating the recovery drive" no other information supplied.
I have tried getting online support but my Tag No is not recognised. If I am unable to make a recovery disk then I shall be returning the laptop. Ironically it is the most important instruction in the Quick Start Guide supplied with the laptop.
Is there any chance of getting help before Tuesday as I'm sending my 3 year old Toshiba laptop for repairs to CD drive and keyboard whilst it still has a week of warranty remaining and wish to copy some programmes and settings to the Dell before then.
