After almost a month with this issue, on with dell for hours I finally found a solution. In the device manager click on system devices to expand. Look for Intel management interface, double click when box opens up, click on drivers. If the driver version is 9x select update driver and windows search automatically. It will install the new 11x driver. Left the laptop on for a whole and it shut down fine. Tried it another day the same finally!!!!! I was only having the issue if the system ran all day other wise it shut down fine. I had no power management problems ether. So if this was the only issue you had this is the solution. While you are in device manger. If you haven't already update through windows auto using the same procedure as above, your audio, video and wifi drivers. Your bios should be updated as well through Dell site A8. Hope it works for you
