Been on support with Dell no help and also emailed Microsoft no word from them yet. Did the recent cumulative patch didn't help.Exhausted all possibility drivers system scans etc., I have an xps 12 and after windows 10 upgrade when I go to shut down laptop the operating system says shutting down and seems like it turned off, but the laptop keeps running. On off switch stays lit and at times you can hear the fan running. I have to hold switch for a couple of seconds to shut it down. When I restart the laptop it boots fine which tells me the operating system is shutting down, but is not shutting down laptop. At times it shuts down fine and then most of the time when the laptop has been running for a long period of time it won't. I feel it is either a laptop hardware issue or operating system, I don't know. Been doing allot of trouble shooting. I have been on other forums where many people are having the same issue with other systems as well. Aside from this I love windows 10 hope this issue can be solved.
