I upgraded to windows 10 July 29th. Since I installed windows 10, 3 drivers have been giving me error messages:
- HL-DT-ST DVD + - RW GHA2N SCSI CD ROM Device
- Logitech unifying usb receiver (came with dell wireless keyboard and mouse, both of which work)
- Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4 GHz) (wireless printing works, as does Bluetooth)
The error message is:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
Steps I have taken:
- Installed driver for Dell wireless card from Dell website, Install repaired the previous install but did not correct the issue
- Attemped to click on Update driver, which returned the message the driver is up to date
- Clicked PC checkup In Dell support assistant, and ran Dell diagnostics from the dell website, both of which failed to identify the malfunctioning hardware, and came back “passed”
