I have a Latitude 3440 that I purchased On Ebay about 6 months ago as refurbished with Dell warranty until Jan. 2016.
The system configuration says Windows 8.1 Pro is installed. The system seems to work fine.
The problem I am having is the Laptop will not qualify for the New Windows 10 update from Microsoft. I had difficulty entering the service tag to look at the original system configuration because it said Dell doesn't support 8.1 but managed to get in and it says the OS when delivered was DPK, Operating System, WBP32/64 , but I don't know what that is.
There is a tag on the unit that says "Refurbished to Dell Specification by GENCO" the warranty appears to be intact.
Dell Label Says: Service Tag: <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>
| Express Service Code: <ADMIN NOTE: Express service code removed per privacy policy>
How do I determine the Original OS? Should I revert back to the Original OS to Qualify for the Win 10 upgrade?
I realize this question involves Microsoft also but I am searching for a place to begin. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
