Is a software problem killing my network? Please help!

I have a 9343 xps 13, and until about two weeks ago it's been smooth sailing. Now however, I think it may be causing me a lot of heartache. So here's what's happening,

I have century link dsl and a zyxel c1100z modem. I've had endless issues the last two weeks with internet connectivity coming and going. CenturyLink tech support says the lines are stable on their side and have even sent a tech out, who replaced some lines but said they shouldn't have cause any outages. When I open my routers ip address page, it says that the router is connected to dsl and has great up and down speeds. Here's where it gets interesting, I've started experimenting with my laptop and I've discovered that if my wifi is on  the network crashes. As soon as I turn it off, the network comes back up and functions properly.  I've had the same xps and router for two years, so I imagine it has to be a software issue? Please  any help as to a solution would be greatly appreciated!
