NMI_HARDWARE_FAILURE - Windows 10 does not boot

Hi guys,

I have a Dell Inspiron 3000 series 3543 Laptop with Windows 10. I need help as I'm struggling for the past 2 weeks finding out what is the cause of this error (NMI_HARDWARE_FAILURE) and what is the fix for this problem in many fourms. Everytime I start the PC a blue screen comes up saying "Your PC ran into a problem. We are collecting..."etc. and after this happens several times, it finally boots up the OS.

Here are the things I tried in sequence::

  1. Ran startup repair in Advanced Startup options
  2. Used system Restore
  3. Reset the PC in Advanced startup options
  4. Re-installed Windows 10 several times
  5. Ran several commands I found in windows forums
  6. Ran Diagnostic Test (using boot options menu - F12).
      1. Test showed a Hard disk Failure, Error Code: 2000-0142. In threads from Support forums like Dell Community, the fix for this error was to replace the hard disk.

  7. I replaced the hard disk and installed Windows but then still, the problem existed.
  8. As I suspected that the Boot Manager was Looking for Boot files in the D: Partition, I deleted that partition and kept one single partition i.e. the C: Partition.

The bcdedit command gave me this output, hope this helps:

I don't know any other ways to fix this problem and also can't understand what is the cause of this problem. :(

Kindly help me find a solution or suggest me a thread which has a permanent fix for this problem.

Thank You.
