The upgrade from 8.1 went mostly well.
So far, the major remaining issue is that the Dell Data Protection Tools (DDP) do not recognize the fingerprint scanner.
The Broadcom USH w/touch sensor is not being recognized when the installers run.
Device Manager says:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
When trying to update the driver through the sensor Properties,
The machine is a Latitude E6530 (Mid 2012).
I manually uninstalled all Dell DDP-related tools in Control Panel.
Downloaded, uninstalled and then reinstalled :
- Dell Data Protection | Security Tools (STInstaller-1.6.1.1055.zip - Version 1.6.1.1055,A14)
- Dell Data Protection|Encryption v8.6.1 (MasterInstaller-8.6.1.1197.zip - Version 8.6.1.1197,A14)
