My brand new XPS 13 9365 started installing a new update, KB3176936. The new updates use a different procedure where they check your current install so as to download just what might be needed.
During the pre-check, the processor is running at full speed with 50% utilization. The bottom of this unit got really warm. Sometimes those checks can go on for 10-15 minutes and some folks have seen it take much longer.
Is something like this going to shorted the life of certain types of systems?
Thanks..
