Ok, Kind of long so stick with me.
So my Alienware18 laptop (mid 2013) was set to upgrade to windows 10. In the middle of the upgrade during one of the restarts the install hangs, and then tries to reboot and my alienware is stuck in an endless loop of trying to reboot, then stating that it would have to revert to previous version of windows, but this was up for about 60 seconds before it would reboot again. Over and over endlessly.
So I read a little and figure I need to boot to a windows recovery somehow, and so I use the windows 10 media creation tool to put windows 10 on a thumb drive that I then am able to boot into and complete a full windows 10 install. So now at least my laptop is functioning.
However, windows keeps asking me to activate my copy of windows, and from what I can tell this should have been done automatically during the upgrade. Also, I have lost all of the software that I had installed, which isn't that big a deal, other than I lost all of the alienware software designed for an alienware system.
So, What do I need to do to activate my copy of windows, and is there an easy way to get back the alienware software that came installed on the computer.
Also, I have looked and looked for an email address to contact support and haven't been successful. Is that possible?
