E2014T Touch Screen no longer works properly in Windows 10 after updates

Hi,

I have Dell E2014T monitor attached to Intel NUC. Originally, the base install was Windows 7 64-bit, but due to the automatic updates it was updated to Windows 10. Obviously, it is not possible to revert operating system to Windows 7.

Nevertheless, everything worked correctly until recently, when new updates from Microsoft were automatically installed in Windows 10. Monitor works correctly, but the "click" on the touch screen does not work. Simply saying - I can move windows but cannot press any buttons.

For 100% it is not hardware fault - when attaching monitor to older laptop with Windows 8 both monitor and touch screen works properly.

I learned on the other threads that Dell states that Windows 10 is "not supported" for this monitor and recommends revert to Windows 7.

The question is - is how it can be? As Microsoft no longer supports Windows 7, and Windows 8/8.1 will be no longer supported in a year and 3 months from now, how it can be that Dell has not released any driver for MS Windows 10?

Does it mean that Dell is dropping now all users who bought this monitor?

I can understand that Dell may be dropping old and unsupported operating systems but in this case Microsoft forces all users to migrate to Windows 10, so users have no other choice than to migrate.

Can anyone in Dell take a look at this issue and release new driver for Windows 10?

Obviously, the problem is going to affect ALL USERS OF DELL E2014T MONITOR, on January 2018 the latest, as on this date Microsoft officially stop supporting Windows 8.1.

Thanks in advance for reply.

Regards,

Artur
