Installing Windows 10
I have been unable to download Windows 10 as of Hardware compability issues, when I contacted microsoft, they told me to come here. So here I am, asking the question they told me to ask. I have a Dell Inspiron 15R N5110. I appreciate everyone's care.

windows 10 Issue
my latitude, upgraded itself to windows 10. The DVD player and SD card don't work now, not just my laptop, but other dell laptops that did the same thing have the same issues. the Microsoft patch that you install via the find and fix tool, works when you first install it, but stops when you shut down your computer. we have reinstalled drivers etc. but still have the issues. thus, if I reinstall the old operating system, and reinstall the drivers, will this fix the issue ?

dell 7559 w10 pro BSOD driver_power_state_failure repeatedly, auto-detect wants to reinstall same driver over and over
Hi All,
I'm about to give up on my 7559 laptop purchased earlier this year.
Symptoms:
- Repeated BSOD stops w driver_state_power_failures
- Followed by "we're collecting information from your system and we'll restart for you" which never resolves itself (left overnight)
- Ridiculously slow File Explorer response
- Office, SSMS other apps go into "Not Responding" state quite often
- Office apps slow to open/save
- Dell auto-detect of drivers wants to download install the same driver (below) over and over again. Tried install as admin, repeated reboots, no reboots, everything I can think of.
Can someone please help?

XPS 15 (9530) trying to install windows 10 from USB pen
I have gone into BIOS and set the USB as the boot drive with preference over the already installed Windows 8 drive but it just keeps booting into Windows 8.
I have changed the boot mode setting to "UEFI secure boot off".
The Windows 8 already installed on the laptop has some virus which means admin priveleges have been lost, thats why I want to install Windows 10 from scratch. If I try and install windows 10 as an upgrade whilst Windows 8 is already running then it says It is going to install Windows 10 home even though I have bought Windows 10 pro.

my xps17 L702x after upgrading to win 10
it seems the windows 10 anniversary edition does not like this laptop, after it updated several things did not function even after reloading drivers. so i restored my last known win 10 edition that worked and away i went.
however the dell support assist application does not work or complete it install successfully and the dell quick test on their website also will not complete. it gets to "gathering tests" and stops. support assist when clicked will open the splash screen but after a few seconds just goes away and nothing opens.. i have downloaded the latest edition of support assist too.
any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.

New XPS8900 Windows Version Question
Hello,
Just received a new XPS 8900 loaded with Win 7 Pro 64 bit.
When I ordered it, it was stated that " (Includes Windows 10 Pro License)" .
The Recovery Disk supplied does say 'Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit'.
i would like to get the machine right up to Win 10 before anything else is done.
Looking for the best way to do this.

What to do following installing a new hard drive?

After installing a brand new empty hard drive, per Dell diagnostics advice, I loaded my recovery discs, then restarted lap top per disc instructions. Screen doesn't go beyond Dell logo @ approx 75%.. ive read about reinstalling devices drivers and applications, yet am not understanding this. If I have a backup of my lap top on an external hard drive, would that contain the necessary drivers? I am tech challenged. Any detailed advice/instructions is appreciated.

i just bhought this dell inspiron 3252 with pre installed win10 64bit, but i need is windows 7 32bit only, which is already phasedout on microsoft market, so i bhought also windows10 32bit knowing that is a downgradable to win 7 32 bit, unfortunately the product given to me is FPP which is not downgradable and all is turn to failure, what can i do now to set back my bundled OS?

Dell Inspiron 5765 Generating Numerous "YOUR PC RAN INTO A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO RESTART" Errors
I've had this laptop for about two weeks and have subject issues from the start. I've installed all the Dell and Windows 10 updates available, but, they just keep coming. The most irritating problem is the cursor freezing up, requiring a reboot. Additionally, the most frequent stopcodes have been "Page fault in non-page area" and "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL". The most recent, and, most concerning, is "CRITICAL PROCESS DIED".
I would appreciate any advice/assistance in sorting out this machine before I decide to give it back.

Cannot enable credential guard on Latitude E5270

using Windows 10 Enterprise with DELL Latitude E5270
I have the issue that i can´t enable DG/CG because of
HSTI validation failed
and

I already checked for the latest patch KB3213522 updated bios and drivers, so i could remove the Airplane mode switch driver issue which was also listed. i had to reinstall the Networkdrivers to remove e1d65x64.sys
and now i´m left with these 2

I have an xps 15 9550, and when I logged in with my admin account, it told me I am using a temporary account. I am running win 10 x64. In event viewer under application, there is a eventID, 1511 in regards to this. What causes this, and how can this be prevented in the future?

Dell Factory Windows 10 Recovery DVD
I wanted to upgrade my hard drive and couldn't because the dell windows 10 OEM media DVD wont reinstall.. Why is that? I had to put the OEM hard drive back in the PC because the dell windows 10 media only is a repair dvd not a full restore to factory DVD like Dell had in the previous operating systems. I have a Dell E7470 laptop. Can someone tell me why they include a DVD repair instead of recovery dvd with your computer now a days?

Factory reinstall
Hi,
I bought a small-factor Inspiron 3050, after setting up W10 I configured an account and it's password.
Next day, I forgot the password!!!!
I naver had time to create a recovery disk. I just doanloaded the OS image from Dell.com but it does not allow me to factory reset it.
How can I use the recovery image that its on HDD??

Dell desktop stuck in looping dots after Windows 10 update
Hi,
I have a Dell Optiplex 765 that is stuck in the looping dots of death after a Windows 10 update that occurred in the last few days. The first time that it occurred, I let the loops run for multiple hours.
I've tried hard restarts (power off), and that does not address the problem.
I've tried starting in Safe Mode, but apparently that is no longer an option on Windows 10.
Any suggestions for help are greatly appreciated.

Failed Windows 10 update and no bootable device found
My XPS 8500 desktop running on windows 10 seems to get stuck on a Windows update and then gives an error message that no bootable device can be found. After inactivity during vacation and unpugging and moving my computer it worked fine again for one time and then the same problem started again.
When restarting, an update seems to be installed, but after 15 to 20 minutes it gets stuck
Running Dell diagnostics showed no problems
Starting from the Dell operating system disk worked once, but setting Windows back to original settings while keeping my files gave an error message that no bootable device could be found. Attempting to restart with the disk failed so far.
I'm out of clues what to try next, any ideas are welcome
